DAY 1

Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

SAMBURU SOPA/SAROVA SHABA

Depart Nairobi at 0700hrs and drive Northwards to Samburu Game Reserve through Mt. Kenya and past Coffee plantations. Lunch at the camp on arrival and game drive en-route in search of the rare reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Gerenuk and the Somali Ostrich, all of which are rare in other game parks. (Approximately 330 Kilometers – 6 hours)

DAY 2

Samburu National Reserve

SAROVA SHABA/SAMBURU SOPA

Morning and evening game drives in Samburu Game Reserve, which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). Ololokwe Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing.

Samburu National Reserve is a home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope.

DAY 3

Samburu to Lake Nakuru

Breakfast at 0630hrs; leave Camp/Lodge with game drive en-route. Drive past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley for lake Nakuru through the Thompson Falls.

Accommodation at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge – 4 star Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge- 4 Star.

DAYS 4

Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

Have a Breakfast at 0630hrs then proceed for game drive in Lake Nakuru national park, the ornithologists’ paradise with over four hundred bird spices and also known as a the pink lake due to the thousands of flamingoes that inhabit the Lake.

Lake Nakuru is a home to Waterbucks, Rhinos, warthogs Thomson’s Gazelles, three climbing Lions, hyraxes and countless baboons hippos.Depart for Nairobi after lunch arriving in the evening.
